What makes us different

There is a ‘probationary’ period that all new members must undergo before joining the club in full.  Safety is our primary concern as we wish to maintain an environment for all to enjoy.  All new joiners are notified to the Police.

SWLPC provides a safe and comfortable environment for various target shooting sports activities.
Situated less than 10 mins from Jn26 M6. we have our own private land which is fully Home Office Approved.  The club has a 25 yard 10 lane range where air rifle, small bore -22 rimfire, fullbore pistol/carbine and blackpowder can be used.  Extensive land means that we can also hold our own Clay Pigeon, Practical Shotgun and Archery events.  The club is open on Wednesdays & Saturdays/Sundays with fun competitions taking place most weeks.  For full bore target shooting, SWLPC has access to the MOD range at Altcar, Formby Lancs.  

SWLPC has operated for many years and now sees many people from all different walks of life taking up an interest in shooting sports.  This includes female members and those with families.  Home Office
